The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month In Fort Worth Texas
Honoring Our Flag on the 200th anniversary of Our National Anthem
From our earliest Veterans in the Revolution and War of 1812 to our youngest Middle School Junior Cadet Corps we thank all who serve. Please join us at this year’s Veterans Day Parade as we Honor Our Flag on the 200th anniversary of Our National Anthem.
Texas Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps will escort the 2014 Grand Marshal Lieutenant Colonel Laurence K. Casey Jr. down Fort Worth Main Street to Sundance Square for the 11 am opening ceremony. This nationally recognized Veterans Day event with thousands of participants on foot, on floats, military equipment and more will pass in review for many local City Mayors and dignitaries including, Military, Veteran and Civic leaders.
LTC Casey is the national President of the General Society of The War of 1812, a society of direct descendants of Veterans of that war. The award winning Texas Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps is a member of the Northeast Tarrant Arts Council and perform music of the American Revolution, Civil War, War for Texas Independence and other patriotic favorites.
